A note from President Giffin:

Dear MTAM membership,

As many of you know, we are in the process of becoming a non-profit organization.  As part of this transition, we need to submit our by-laws to the IRS.  Under the counsel of an attorney who specializes in helping organizations become non-profits, we have been advised to combine our constitution and by-laws into one document.  In addition, the attorney has drafted a fiscal management section of the by-laws, as the information will be required for the IRS's approval of our application.  I have attached copies of our current constitution and by-laws, as well as the proposed combined document (with any changes and additions in bold) for your review. The proposed amendments will be discussed and voted upon during the membership business meeting at our state conference on October 9th.
