Living Spirit Therapy Services, LLC is looking to hire a subcontractor for 23 immediate clients with a strong possibility of adding many more in March and April. Music therapist must be:
- NMT trained
- have at least 2 years of professional experience
- experience working with the elderly
Salary is $45/per direct contact hour. Clients include a combination of individuals and groups. The practice is focused on the elderly and those with neurological issues.

Music Therapist (2) - Allina Hospice
Allina Hospice has opened TWO, benefited, 20 hour/week employee positions in the Twin Cities area. Positions start as soon as February 2012. Pay is competitive. Music therapists will work within the Integrative Therapies Department at Allina Home & Community Services, which includes a team of several music therapists and massage therapists.
Applying music therapists must be board-certified, and have at least one year of applicable experience.
Required skills and abilities:- Sensitivity and ability to provide compassionate and caring presence to patients and families with varied lifestyles.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Quality vocal tone, diversity in repertoire, and flexible musicianship skills
- Ability to function independently as an interdisciplinary team member
- Must be adaptable and flexible, willing to cross over geographic areas in time of need.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to articulate the value of the Music Therapy discipline.
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of and sensitivity to end of life issues and palliative care as it applies to music therapy goals

Description:
Growing With Music, Incorporated is a developmental music program for toddlers and preschoolersTM. Join the team selected as Editor's Choice for Superior Services by Minnesota Parent Magazine in 1994. Music therapists provide services based on an early childhood music curriculum in community based, home and educational settings. Position available serves the seven county metro areas of the Twin Cities, primarily St. Paul and Maplewood areas. There is a minimum commitment of 3 mornings a week, and the opportunity to expand to 5 mornings a week.
It is expected that the candidate will make a minimum commitment of one year to this position.
