2012 Spring Conference:
"iMT: Music Technology, Measurement and Assistive Technology for Music Therapists"

Jennie Delisi, MA, MT-BC
Jennie Delisi is a music therapist and the therapeutic services coordinator at Lifeworks Services. She earned her masters at the University of Minnesota, and is a Neurologic Music Therapy Fellow. She was appointed by Governor Pawlenty to the Minnesota Assistive Technology Advisory Council in 2007 and was reappointed in August of 2010. She also serves on the reimbursement committee for the Music Therapy Association of Minnesota. She co-authored a chapter entitled Multi-Sensory Environments and Augmentative Communication Tools (IGI Global, 2010), and wrote an article for Closing the Gap’s Magazine. Her clinical work focuses on using music therapy techniques to address communication and sensory challenges.

Minnesota is one of six states within the Great Lakes Region of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA). Other states include Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
The purpose of this organization is to advance and support, on the state level, the goals of the AMTA, and to serve MTAM members by
1. working with national and state agencies to advance the profession;
2. training and educating music therapists by providing two CMTE workshops per year;
3. increasing networking opportunities.
